It was a groundbreaking year for Gather4Good® at Catholic United in 2018. We held large-scale events in Medford, Wis., and the Minnesota cities of Delano, Perham and Marshall, plus a mini-event in conjunction with fellow fraternal, Sons of Norway, in Bloomington. If you’re counting with me, that’s five events!
So, you’re probably wondering, how many kits did we assemble this year?
Good question! 8,400 kits were assembled and distributed to local agencies for distribution. This brings our grand total to 37,000 kits assembled through Gather4Good® since its inception in 2010. That’s 37,000 people impacted by the generosity of our members.
You might also be wondering, how many people came to those events?
Another great question! 454 people, members and non-members, came to the events. Each attendee received a Catholic United t-shirt for attending – what a deal!
It’s been a truly amazing year for Gather4Good® and we owe a big thank you to Member Engagement Liaison Kaitlin Groeneweg for pulling it all together. Way to go, Kaitlin! You deserve a good nap!
One last thing, I continue to be impressed by my co-workers here at the Catholic United Financial Home Office who take time out of their busy weekends, often driving long distances, to volunteer at these events. The turnout from staff at the 2018 events was truly amazing and so clearly demonstrates that not only do we care about our daily work to serve members, but also to care about our mission as an organization. We are making a difference for people and that’s what it’s all about.
